Glass is the ancient packaging material that is perfect for today. Pure and 100% recyclable, glass containers are not only a top choice for maintaining product quality, but for preservation of the environment as well.

This information kit explains the importance of glass as Canada's preferred packaging choice, and the role played by Consumers Glass as the only Canadian manufacturer of container glass and guardian of the valuable resource it represents.

In partnership with consumers and recyclers across Canada, Consumers Glass has increased the recycled glass content of its products from 7% in 1988 to 31% in 1995. An impressive statistic, and one of the top rates for any glass manufacturer in North America... but it's not nearly enough!

Consumers Glass wants to use much more container glass from recycling programs than is currently being recovered. Studies have shown us that far more glass can be recovered -- but to do this, we need your help.
