Hi Kids!

Let me introduce myself, I'm Ace Green Glass Detective. Maybe you've heard of some of my peers, Marlowe, Holmes, Tracy, Fletcher, or Colombo. Or perhaps you've already heard of me.

Yeh, that's right. I'm Canada's No. 1 Glass Detective. I also track down other materials that work together in the blue box. We're all together in this box, bag, depot, hey it's a One kind of small world. Right?

I hail from Parkwood Hills, you know over in Nepean, next to Ottawa, in Ontario. Do you know where Canada is? It's the country above the US. Oh, now you found me. Great!

I am an idea that was developed by the kids from Parkwood School and two adults, a teacher named Mindy Woolcott, and a "too cool" mom named Cheryl Clarke. I was their submission to the Annual Conservation Video Contest back in 1994. Check my introduction out. I have learned a lot about glass recycling and the importance of curbside multi-material recycling. These are not hard things to learn about. Maybe you already do.

No? Well, let me just impart this little gem, I just thought I should alert you about a hot tip - I bring information about waste reduction, material reuse, energy savings, and more.

Now don't get excited, it's not all here today, but I thought I should share what I had, so you could be up on things, and we could be like all crystal clear together on this. If there is something you would like to see here, just email me at AceGreen@glassworks.org

Until then, be cool, recycle. Ace
