The Idea Centre

Success comes to those who begin with the end in mind. Think about that for a minute. Over the last 8 years, Glass Works has looked at many different processors, recycling programmes, systems for pick-up, and the people behind these successes.

Without a doubt, the programmes demonstrating greatest success, the highest diversion of materials, share one thing. Someone had a vision, a long-term one.

It was clearly mapped out in their mind. Then they implemented the necessary actions needed to reach that vision. Glass Works has a vision. Our vision is to have the use of container glass become sustainable for all Canadians, regardless of where they are. Certainly there can be, have been, and will be hurdles.

One way to get over the hurdles is to listen to new ideas. So with this issue we are also announcing our Idea Centre. It will be a forum for the exchange of ideas between people on how to close the loop on container glass, especially in areas which are farther away from the more traditional markets for container glass.

Glass Works invites you to come to the Idea Centre. Pick up a few ideas AND leave some behind.
