These days we are expected to constantly let go of the ways we have been doing things for new, and hopefully, improved ways. In keeping with this trend, I would like to share with you the changes we are making with our communications process. Glass Works started out as a paper based newsletter in 1990. The company's intent was to initiate a consistent vehicle to announce changes we were working on with stakeholders to make glass recycling work, hence the title Glass Works. While this is still our desire, we have turned the process around so that the paper version is now a biannual update on the changes we track and share on our Internet site www.glassworks.org
The logic is obvious. More and more people can have access to a global window of information on glass recycling and all its affiliated issue areas. We have negotiated reciprocal hotlinks with many of the sites that we hope you will find of interest.

We are also particularly keen to draw your attention to the Idea Centre. Here we will host ongoing discussions between the real innovators of glass handling techniques, the top container glass processors, recycling operators and other interested parties. We will start this off by posting some of the solid ideas that came out of the February workshop sponsored by Consumers Glass and CSR: Corporations Supporting Recycling. We have invited some of the presenters from that conference to participate in the opening. It is my hope that this exchange forum will foster ideas that can lead to improvements and ultimately innovation for the sustainable benefit of all parties. There are other changes to our site, I invite you to log on and join into this exchange, or email me directly.
